Council Serves Breakfast and Fellowship at Sacred Heart

The Conroe Council 6456 completed 12 months of a fellowship and fundraising breakfast at Sacred Heart Church. More than 15 Brother Knights and their families participated in the effort on the first Sunday of every month.

Deputy Grand Knight Peter Wakefield, Angel Oidor, Tom Moslener, Jorge Galavez, TonyVelasquez, Paul Zigler, Buzz Meyer and a host of volunteers played a major role in each breakfast after the 8AM and 10AM masses. Brother Knights cooked a full menu of sausage, eggs, pancakes, biscuits-n-gravy, fruit and more. They served up to 200 people each Sunday. Father Phillip Wilhite tasked the council with a focus not on fundraising but building relationships within the church of more than 8000 Hispanic and American Catholics. The cost of the breakfast was only $5 to encourage the most participation from all parishioners.
