The Industry Knights of Columbus, Msgr. Edward Geiser Council 10224 of 71 members strong held their Annual State Council Charity Drive on Saturday, September 29th, in Industry, at the Intersection of State Highway 159 and FM 109. The K. C.’s were collecting donations from the traveling public and passing out tootsie rolls. The members collected donations from 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. and collected $2,501.61 achieving 352% of their current charities goal while passing out 1,285 tootsie rolls. Twelve K. of C. Members participated in the very successful Charity Drive.
The Industry Council was organized on January 9
th, 1990, and have participated in the State Charity Drive every year with their Tootsie Roll Drive at the same location, and to date have contributed $44,518.32 or an average of 289.43% of their total quota over the last 28 years.
