The Knights of Columbus Holy Spirit Council 7264 of St. Stephen Catholic Church, Weatherford, TX gathered at Weatherford Healthcare Center to distribute Christmas presents and to visit the residents on 8 Dec 2017.Grand Knight Dave Straka explained “it is important to let the residents know that they are not forgotten and that we enjoy spending time with them.”The Knights arranged the gifts on numerous tables so that the residents could go down the line picking the items that was on their wish list.The residents were able to choose slippers, sweat shirt and pants, socks, books, DVD movies, puzzles and games, blankets, and a large variety of hygiene items including cologne and lotions, shampoo, tooth brushes and paste, and many other items.After all the residents got to go through the line picking their presents there were still many items left over.Santa Claus made a surprise visit giving residents movie tickets and Wal-Mart gift cards.He also went to each room to personally visit bed ridden residents.
