2018 CACEY QUEENS STATE BOWLING TOURNAMENT

The 45th Annual Cacey Queens State Bowling Tournament (which is associated with

the Knights of Columbus State Bowling Tournament) was held at Copperfield Bowl in Houston, Texas the weekends of April 7 – 8, 2018 and April 14 – 15, 2018.

Ladies must be a resident of Texas, out of high school, and the wife, widow, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt or niece of a Knights of Columbus member (any council, any state)

in good standing, to be eligible to participate.

The handicap tournament was certified by the United States Bowling Congress (USBC).This

is a fun competition – we have tournament awards, door prizes, raffles, 50/25/25 pots, etc.

It’s a great way to meet fellow K. of C. ladies from around Texas!

We also held the 28th Annual Cacey King & Queen Handicap No-Tap Singles Tournament

on Friday, April 6, 2018 and Friday, April 13, 2018 at Copperfield Bowl in Houston, Texas.

Our 2018 No-Tap Tournament winners were:

1. April 6th –Ladies – 1st – Debbie Dowling – 768 – Sugar Land Council # 4204

2nd – Kelly Cazares – 766 – Houston Council # 2917

Men – 1st – Pat Towne – 829 – Houston Council # 4550

2nd – Ricky Meyer – 799 – Columbus Council # 2971

2. April 13th – Ladies – 1st – Virginia Hall – 750 – Palestine Council # 1323

2nd – Val Maidhof – 723 – Arlington Council # 8895

3rd – Nan Chaisson – 723 – Groves Council # 3491

Each Friday night is a separate tournament with Men’s and Ladies’ divisions.This, also, is a

fun tournament with awards, strike pots, door prizes, etc.

To be eligible to participate, a male bowler must be entered in the Knights of Columbus Tournament, and a female bowler must be entered in the Cacey Queens Tournament.

The two weekend dates for the 2019 Cacey Queens State Bowling Tournament, which is certified by USBC, are yet to be determined (usually held in April each year). Again, this Tournament is in conjunction with the Knights of Columbus State Bowling Tournament.

Doubles and Singles Events are bowled on Saturday, and the Team Event is bowled on

Sunday.Entry forms will be mailed to previous participants in early January 2019.
