Wheelchair Donation and Delivery

The Council 7613 wheelchair program is in its 11th year and, thanks to OGK/SK Sam Szalwinski (the Texas KC Wheelchair Chairman) has always been successful. Over these years we have distributed over 2,300 wheelchairs.

Some of our Knights have gone on several distributations to Mexico, particulary to CRIT centers in Selma, Alabama. Last year over $42,000 was raised for the event and so far this year things are going well.

On Mar 20, Sam Szalwinski organized a delivery of approximately 40 wheelchairs donated by the parishioners of St. Mark the Evangelist. This year we expect to donate and deliver over 270 wheelchairs.

As part of the American Wheelchair Mission the wheelchairs donated so for this year were delivered to 3 locations in San Antonio: Audie Murphy VA Hospital, Padua Place and St. Francis Assisted Living Home.
