Council 6456 Completes 37th Charity Annual Turkey Shoot

The Conroe Council 6456 completed it’s 37^th Annual Charity Turkey Shoot at the end of October 2015. The month-long event centered on a charity shoot, BBQ sales and a grand raffle. Fifty-seven Brother Knights and their families participated in the effort.

The target shooting boasted more than 2000 rounds fired and a lot of targets shot. No Turkeys were harmed! The BBQ food was a mixture Turkey-legs, Brisket, Ribs and Sausage on each of the five Saturdays from 12-6 PM. The grand raffle was a 10-gun raffle with Brother Lon Freund selling more than $2500 in tickets. The total profit for the fundraiser was $14,000. All proceeds will be split into local prolife causes including the Pregnancy Assistance Center North, Birthright and Montgomery County Right to Life.
