Vol. 2, 2024 - 2025
Members of the Holy Spirit Knights of Columbus Council 15174 and their wives attended the Pro Life Rally in Dallas. The rally started with approximately 100 people gathered to pray the rosary in front of an abortion facility. After the rosary the group proceeded to the Convention Center where they joined about 5,000 already in attendance for the Roe V. Wade Memorial Mass celebrated by Diocese of Dallas Bishop Kevin J. Farrell. As part of the Mass, a procession of people born since1973 carried a white rose and placed it on the altar. The white rose symbolizes life, those lost to abortion and shows opposition to abortion by the Knights.
After Mass everyone met outside where the Knights of Columbus color guard lead a march to the Earle Cabell Federal Courthouse. This is the courthouse where Roe V. Wade was passed in 1973. Since then, over 53 million babies have been aborted in the United States.
One of the missions of the Knights of Columbus is to bring awareness of the issue of abortion to their communities.
