Texas Continues to Grow

Lubbock Diocesan Deputy Arlie Markusen and Field Agent Chris Stark brought in eighteen new members one reactivation with two transfers to present a new Council to St. Philip Benizi Parish in Shallowater. Add Council 16358 to the State Directory. Brother Arlie and Brother Chris weren’t finished. With the help from DD199 Simon Resendez transferred members from Councils 3008 and 11807 to form Council 16394 at San Ramon Parish.

During the week of Christmas the Council Growth group was able to present a new Council to our Worthy State Deputy. Council 16375 of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Dallas became a reality. Thanks to the help of SK David Carr we were able to bring in 19 new members into the order. Brother David informed me that he has a bundle of Form 100’s just waiting for the candidates to take their First Degree.

The Diocese of San Angelo stepped up to bring Council 16390 to Good Shepard Parish in Crane. DD 176 Jimmy Hernandez added twenty five new members to our State population. Three transfers completed the new charter. San Angelo wasn’t finished. DD 177 Ray LaBlanc and Field Agent Alfred Sanchez finished with twelve new members, one readmission and fifteen transfers to give San Miguel Archangel Parish Council 16391.

The Diocese of Fort Worth had to get into the act again when District Deputy 22 Sean Stenovitch and assistance from the two other Councils in Denton finished the work to bring a new Parish Council to St. Pope John Paul II Parish with Council 16393.

Dallas Diocesan Deputy Roger Scott And District Deputy 82 Gary Betz, Gary Lebac District Deputy 80, District Deputy 89 Alberto Castro along with District Deputy 81 Reed Fontenot, Fort Worth Diocesan Deputy Pat Henz and District Deputy 17 David Miller and Field Agent Randy Brock, Brownsville Diocesan Deputy Tom Oaks and District Deputy 167 Ralph Cavazos, District Deputy 160 Dwayne Crawford and Amarillo Diocesan Deputy Kevin Morris, Tyler Diocesan Deputy David Zeigler and District Deputy101 Lee Orr, Laredo Diocesan Deputy Carlos Rameriz and District Deputy 189 Carlos Vasquez and District Deputy 188 Armando Castaneda , Tyler Diocesan Deputy Davis Zeigler and District Deputy 101 Lee Orr, Laredo are in different stages of developing new councils in their area. You can bet that Galveston/Houston Diocesan Deputy Reggie Vasquez, DD 50 Dennis Trainor and DD76 Lawrence Devlin are working on new Councils for the 2015-2016 fraternal year.
