El Paso Council Receives Papal Blessing

Over the years, Council 4497 has been an active participant in the K of C RSVP program. The council has supported several seminarians mostly during their years in the major seminary. As the seminarians reached the time for their ordination to transitory deacon and finally to the priesthood, members intensified their support to help defray the cost of their ordination. This past December, just prior to Deacon Cong Vo’s ordination to the priesthood, he paid a visit to our council along with his parents who were visiting from Vietnam. The purpose of their visit was to present members of Council 4497 with a Papal blessing as a way of showing how grateful he was for our support during his years in the seminary. Needless to say, the members present were speechless. As Father Cong Vo labors through the years to become a pastor we are sure he will treasure his membership in the Knights and remember their devotion to our seminarians and priests.
