Farewell to a Humble Man

Today we bid farewell to a humble man, WWII Hero Edmundo Nieto, United States Army. Edmundo was a 3^rd Degree Brother of Council 10129 in Presidio, TX. Celebration of the mass was performed by two of Brother Nieto’s friends, Sir Knight Father Fabian Marquez and Sir Knight Father Mike Alcuino. Pillar of the city of PRESIDIO, great friend to many of us, great father and grandfather as well as uncle and cousin to many.

Mr Nieto was 98. Thank you for not only your service to our country during time of war but throughout your entire life. Mr. Nieto has been a strong member of the Presidio Legion. Mr. Nieto was know to help anyone in need. Many young folks started to learn how to treat others by working for him in the Mercantile Store that his father started and is still operated today by his youngest son Mario. Today folks from all over the state of Texas and Mexico were in attendance
