With the generous donations from members of the Saint Michael Catholic Community at Fort Bliss, Military Council 14584 was able to collect almost 400 pounds of non-perishable food and personal items. The donations were delivered to the Feed the Hungry Food Bank and designated for victims of Hurricane Harvey.
The Catholic Women of the Chapel and the Knights of Military Council 14584 at Fort Bliss served a breakfast to 600 soldiers from the 1st Armor Division who were preparing for deployment to the Middle East. Fr. Kiskama Lemore, a military chaplain assigned to the unit, praised the event for the good food and for helping him strengthen relationships with his soldiers.
Brother Knights from Military Council 14584 at Fort Bliss prepared Thanksgiving food baskets for military families in need. Members of the Saint Michael Catholic Community and the KofC council use the event to demonstrate thankfulness and appreciation to the troops for their service. Included in each basket is a Keep Christ in Christmas car magnet and a Thanksgiving greeting card.
Saint Michael Military Council 14584 at Fort Bliss served breakfast to CCD students, parents and grandparents at the beginning of Fall classes. The meal included pancakes, eggs, sausage, potatoes, juice and lots of syrup.
