Presentation of Texas Charity Check for 2016-2017

This is the presentation of the 2016-2017 State Charity to Bishop Strickland of the Tyler Diocese for the grand total of $18,000. FDM SK Bill Elliott & Texas State Secretary SK Mark Evans presented this check in front of all the Priest of the Tyler Diocese during our Annual Clergy Appreciation Luncheon. Bishop Strickland was greatly appreciative and pointed to several Priest in the room that have benefited from this money in the past. Our Diocese uses this money for the education of our Seminarians. Thank you all for your generosity in helping us achieve 24 consecutive years of meeting or exceeding our goal. We are the only Diocese in the State to accomplish that goal.

We are well on our way to doing it for the 25^th straight year. If your councils have not paid their Charity Goal please remind them to do so by December 31, 2017. I would love for us to be a Quick Start Diocese. Also remember 125% of your goal for our 25^th year!
