Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery

The Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery opened in 2005 and serves as the honorable resting place for more than 5,000 veterans and family members.

In support of this tremendous asset, a group of citizens has organized the Friends of the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery to support the laying a holiday wreath at each grave each year.

Thomas P. Shields Assembly 2370 of Harker Heights, Texas support this annual event with breakfast burritos, coffee and water to 260 Motorcycle escorts to the two tractor and trailers that carry the wreathes from the Killeen Specials events center to the cemetery in possession prior to laying of the wreathes.
