AT THE FOOD BANK

Volunteering at the East Texas Food Bank on April 5^th, 15 Ladies and Knights from Council #15174, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Holly Lake Ranch, bagged 1,968 pounds of pinto beans, filling 82 boxes with 24 one-pound bags per box. This will be enough to provide 1,640 meals.

The first four months of 2017 have been busy for the Council volunteers at the Food Bank as they have amassed 161 volunteer hours and an equivalent of 44,467 meals.

The work of the volunteers is greatly appreciated by the Food Bank and the recipients of the monthly food programs. These programs rely on volunteer assistance to keep costs down and allow the Food Bank to serve more people in need.

The Knights look forward to helping out again next month.
