Chalice presentation in memory of Deacon Jim Legendre at Our Lady of Perpetual Help

During a 26 March memorial chalice ceremony by SKs of Father Virgilius Draessel Assembly 3439 (St Joseph-Honey Creek), at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Parish in San Antonio, a chalice was presented to Kim Legendre, widow of Deacon Jim Legendre, who then presented it to the Fr Ed Borne as a permanent chalice for the parish. The chalice was inscribed with Deacon Jim’s name, the years of his life, and the 4 ^th Degree symbol, and he will be part of every celebration in which it is used.

Fr Ed Borne blessed the chalice and then accepted it on behalf of Fr Kevin Fausz.

Fr Fausz is pastor for both Holy Redeemer and OLPH.

The entire Legendre family, one son, four daughters, and numerous grandchildren, were on hand for the chalice presentation, along with SKs Ron Janak, Dan Cummings, Ed Andrade, and Steve Hanshaw.
