Council 10463 Supported Seven seminarians; Two Ordained.

Council 10463 is the lead organization for seminarian support from St. Mary Our Lady of the Lake Parish. St. Mary Our Lady of the Lake and currently supported seven seminarians from the Diocese of Austin. Council 10463 is a small council of 83 members.

Our council provides funds used by seminarians and those in religious formation for tuition and books, car insurance and maintenance, travel during vacations, emergency expenditures and other living expenses. Knights provide more than financial support, though. Members write letters to students, sponsor dinners for them, invite them to join the Order and, most importantly, pray for vocations.

Three new priests were ordained priests on June 9, 2018 at Saint Vincent de Paul Church by Bishop Joseph Vasquez, Diocese of Austin. They were: Deacons Andrew Dinh, Henry Cuellar, Jr. and Paul-Michael Piega. Council 10463 supported 2 of the 3 new priests in 2017-2018; all but Dinh.
