Council 8512

The Scott A. MacDonald Council #8512 in North Richland Hills conducted their annual officer installation last month. Previous Grand Knight, Bobby Donahoo, welcomed the new installation of officers who will assist and direct the focus of our Council for 2018-2019. Newly elected Grand Knight, Mike Dellies, was elected for his second, non-consecutive term to fulfill the duties for this fiscal year. Our Deputy District Director, Jerry Hightower, officiated the ceremony as the 4^th Degree Color Guard presented the colors and helped with the opening ceremony. Council #8512 originated in 1983 to help support community services and committees along with our home parish, St. John the Apostle Catholic Church and school in North Richland Hills. With over 300 members, we reach many individuals and families in our community. We demonstrate our roles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism to the Order. Our new slate of officers will lead and direct as we continue to support the St. John’s Food Pantry, Presbyterian Night Shelter, Sunday Morning Breakfast, Easter Egg Hunts, Lenten Fish Fries, Annual Fall Fest, Church Garage Sales, Tootsie Roll Drives and the many other programs and organizations we support in our parish and community. Our Council members are living examples of giving back to spread the Good News and helping to build a better parish community at St. Johns.
