Vol. 2, 2024 - 2025
When Hurricane Harvey came to Victoria, Texas in August 2017 it destroyed the Crisis Pregnancy Center (CPC) main sign.
During an informational visit to the Center in June of this year by members of Weimar Knights of Columbus Council #2153, they learned about the sign and decided to build and install a new sign at no cost to the CPC.
The day the new sign was installed, a pregnant woman contemplating having an abortion, saw the sign and visited the center. After talking with center members and having an ultrasound, she decided to keep the baby, thus proving miracles do happen.
The Victoria Crisis Pregnancy Center has served 13,603 clients since 1981.
The CPC is a Catholic Pro-Life group, equipped with the help of Knights of Columbus an ultrasound machine, offering choices and hope to the women in crisis.
The CPC is located 1501 N. Deleon Street, Victoria, Texas, 361-575-6171.
Pictured blessing the sign is Bishop Brendan Cahill, Bishop of Victoria Diocese with Weimar KC member Martin Luchak; Weimar CDA member Mary Luchak; CPC clinic personnel: Pat Coffey and Connie Strauss; and Weimar KC members David Wanjura and Frank Janacek.
