Scout Retreat

SK Deacon Dennis Hayes of Council 10720 explains Holy Orders at the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston Catholic Scout Retreat 2018 held at Bovay Scout Ranch on October 13. Deacon Hayes explained Holy Orders and was interviewed by the 100 Boy Scouts as part of their Ad Altare Dei Religious Emblem requirement. The Ad Altare Dei (Altar of God) is the one of two religious emblems offered to Catholic Boy Scouts. The retreat is highlighted by an outdoor Mass on Saturday afternoon.

Deacon Dennis is a recipient of the Texas State Council’ s St. Christopher Award.
