2017 Weimar Knights of Columbus Memorial Mass

On Monday, November 13, Weimar Knights of Columbus Council # 2153 honored all deceased members with a Memorial Mass at St. Michael Catholic Church. Father Wayne Flagg, KC Chaplain, was celebrant at the Mass.

David Wanjura served as Lecturer and Allen Hoelscher gave a brief eulogy of the six Knights who died in the fraternal year of Nov. 2016 through Oct. 2017. The brother knights who were memorialized at the Mass are: Emil Joe Dusek- Honorary Life Member with 46 years of service; Leo E. Guenther-Honorary Life Member and oldest member at age 94 with 48 years of service; Thomas Hajovsky- Honorary Life Member with 47 years of service; Edward E. “Judge” Hanzelka- Honorary Life Member with 56 years of service; Marvin Hrcek- Honorary Life Member with 48 years of service; Larry Kunz-Larry served as Youth Chairman assisting with Free-Throw Basketball contest and other youth activities, with 17 years of service.

These men will also be recognized at the KC State Convention with Mass in April, 2018.
