Hurrican Harvey Spurs Knights into Action

After dumping 48” of rain on the Bay Area, Council 9708 Knights and Ladies, assisted by a dozen St Clare teens, sprung into action. As soon as the flooding receded, calls came in for help. St Clare parishioners knew that they could depend on us for help and so we did. Several days of ripping out soaked drywall, baseboards, carpeting, and cabinetry before the mold could set in and make matters worse ensued. Led by Grand Knight Jerry Moch, the teams were organized and did the necessary dirty work much to the often dismay of the residents, who were amazed at the volunteer spirit.
