Travelling Chalice Program

Prince of Peace Council 7983 has a Travelling Chalice program, where we provide a Chalice to a family each week, at the five (5) weekend masses, to promote vocations to the priestly, religious, single, and married life.After that family has it for one week, they pass it along to another family at mass.The chalice comes with a book of prayers for each day of the week that can be used by the family.

In 2017, the Travelling Chalice program was features on the Catholic Television of San Antonio program, ‘The Call, which is hosted by Father Jonathan Felux, Director of Vocations and Seminarians for the Archdiocese of San Antonio.We also have had it present at daily mass during the week of Vocation Awareness week at the Chancery of the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
