Wheelchair Donations

The Knights from across the Fort Worth Diocese raised enough money to purchase a container of wheelchairs.And one of our first donations was made to the “Honor Flight” organization.The Honor Flight is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing veterans with a trip to Washington D.C. for all their sacrifices.These WWII survivors are transported to Washington D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials.The DFW Chapter reached out to the Knights asking if we could, once again, provide them with some wheelchairs to be used on an upcoming trip for Korean and Vietnam veterans.In 2014, the Knights donated 20 chairs to them.They love the bright yellow chairs and are always so thankful for the gift.Having the wheelchairs provides these heroes an opportunity to visit all the different memorials.There are more stories to come from the Knights of the Fort Worth Diocese bringing mobility to others in need.
