40 Cans for Lent Program

Bishop Claude Dubuis Council 7445 from Sacred Heart Church in Richmond, Texas facilitated the 40 Cans for Lent Program again this year. The results were astounding with over 16,000 pounds of food related items collected. The proceeds benefited the local Catholic Charities Food Pantry and filled an immediate need in the community. Donations were collected at each weekend Mass throughout Lent ending on Palm Sunday. This was the fourth year that the council sponsored this worthy program, and a total of over 19 tons of food items have been collected.
