Bishop Nold Council 6557

Bishop Nold Council 6557 of Spring, presented a check for $25,100 to the Houston Coalition for Life at its recent benefit gala. This donation came from the council’s charity account which included a donation from deceased Brother Knight Jim and Mary Watkins. Matched by Supreme’s ultrasound initiative, Houston Coalition for Life has ordered 2 ultrasounds. One will be placed in the Blue Blossom Pregnancy Center and the 2nd will replace the aging ultrasound in Big Blue, the mobile pregnancy center bus which parks across from Gulf Freeway Planned Parenthood, 6 days a week. These two ultrasound will be delivered in May. They will provide free ultrasounds to help thousands of women in the Greater Houston area save their child by seeing that their unborn infant is a living human being and recognizing the miracle of life that is within her. The movie UNPLANNED demonstrated the power of the ultrasound machine in helping women choose life. Abby Johnson and Ashley Bratcher who portrayed Abby in UPLANNED were among the 530 attendees at the gala dinner and provided very moving remarks. At Houston Coalition for Life, 92% of women who receive ultrasounds and see their baby, choose life for their child.
