St. Jude Council 11293

St. Jude Council 11293 in Allen, Texas jumped at the opportunity to participate in the church’s latest Capital Campaign / Building Expansion Project.The Knights were invited to participate in the project by clearing the education building of more than thirty year’s old telecommunications and video wiring, and replacing it with all new ethernet wiring and an upgraded hub.Seven IT saavy Knights pulled more than two miles of wire, placing about 100 drops and spares which will support data, streaming TV, cameras and wireless to the upgraded building.Money and manpower – Council 11293 donated $5000 to the project, covering the cost of this material, in addition to covering a portion of the cost of a fiber backbone to support this building.The seven Knights involved contributed 140 man hours to this effort.
