Special Celebration

Council 2305 in West, Texas held a special celebration for its beloved past Chaplain, Father Anthony Odiong. Father Anthony recently earned his U.S. citizenship, which he was very proud of. He has been in the United States from his native Nigeria since 2006, and has served as spiritual adviser for many of the men, women, and families of the parish, even accompanying many on pilgrimages to the Holy Land, Rome, and other blessed sites around the world. A lunch, cooked and served by Council 2305, was given in his honor at the Knights of Columbus Hall in coordination with the Catholic Daughters and a polka dance was had. Several gifts were given to Father Anthony including a flag flown over the United States Capital.
