After the COVID19 outbreak in early March reached Central Texas, Knight from St. Andrew Kim, Council 9930 of Harker Heights, TX has been supporting the Killeen Area Food Care Center in Killeen, TX every Saturday.

Deacon Al Ponce Bless the Men and Food Care Center in their work and service.

On Saturday morning, 10 Knights have gathered utilizing masks and social distancing to put together about 200 grocery bags of need food, which will be distributed during the next week. The Food Care Center provides food to about 2500 families monthly.Without this support the food care center would have had to close do to social distancing restrictions. The Knights stepped in to build the pre-bagged groceries which are placed into grocery carts and provided directly to clients to meet social distancing requirements and keeping both clients and volunteers safe.
