Council 2153 BBQ

During these troubling times, the Weimar, Texas Council # 2153 come up with a fundraiser minimizing the health risk of patrons and workers. In June and July, the council sponsored a barbeque drive-through dinner with all the trimmings. The council ordered the meal from a local business and the council members served it. By ordering the meal from a local business it helped support a local small business and minimize the number of members needing to work. We feel it is a win- win combination. Each Sunday event was sold out. Proceeds from these events went to help support Weimar KC charity goals: Scholarship Fund (5-$1000. Scholarships awarded in 2020), St. Michael Church, School, and other Charitable Groups. As you can see from the picture, all workers followed the mandatory requirement to wear mask and gloves while working or serving meals.
