Brother Knights from Crosby Council 3229 had a busy summer. With the opening of the 2020/2021 school year quickly approaching, the Knights knew there would be additional challenges for their parish school, Sacred Heart. With this in mind, they contacted campus principal Susan Harris and simply asked, “How can we help?” Charity being one of the most important principles of the Knights of Columbus, Council 3229 was happy to fulfill Principal Harris’s wish list. Her primary concerns were centered on student/staff safety and the need to provide updated technology for her teachers. The Knights’ dedication to charity kicked in and they organized extra summer fund raisers to be able to meet their school’s needs. Through their hard work and commitment, the Knights were able to purchase six large hand sanitizer stations. The portability of these large hand sanitizer stations will allow Principal Harris to move them around her campus as the safety needs dictate. Addressing the heightened technology needs of the current educational environment, council 3229 provided fifteen brand new laptops with all the teacher-requested bells and whistles to the campus. With the increasing technology demands placed on her teachers, Principal Harris is confident that the new laptops will result in a better learning experience for the students, their families, and her teachers.

An additional act of charity from Cosby Council 3229 was to provide a two-thousand-dollar grant to provide Seminarian Assistance to Zack Muldrow.
