Council 10940 Boerne

With the restrictions the pandemic has brought to St. Peter the Apostle in Boerne, Texas i.e., the inability to hold our annual Fall Festival; St. Peters Fall Festival committee had to consider alternative options to help offset this traditional major fundraiser revenue. Working with our Pastor Fr. Norman Ermis & the Fall Festival Committee GK Sam Roberts Council 10940 Boerne, Texas proposed the idea of a trio of family dinners that would be served to the Parish & community to help with fundraising efforts. The first meal was a Fish Fry on September 14^th that the Knights in conjunction with the CDA #2690 (Catholic Daughters of America) prepared a full meal available for drive by pick up. The 2^nd was a BBQ Chicken plate dinner on October 9. The 3^rd will be a Gordita plate dinner in a joint venture with the Guadalupanas, Ultreya and the Knights of Columbus is scheduled for November 14. These meals have been a big success and in the words of Fr. Norm “Our gratitude to all for your hard work to make this possible.”
