Council 9748 Coats for Kids Annual Drive

KofC Council 9748 in Granbury, TX, sponsored its annual Coats for Kids Drive to help keep the children in our community warm this winter. As a follow-on to last year’s donations of 408 coats to local charities and elementary schools; this year, the Council set its goal at $10,000 in order to donate additional coats to the many families who are experiencing financial hardships with the loss of jobs or cutbacks in hours due to Covid-19. With the money raised, the Council distributed over 600 coats to children in the Catholic parishes of St. Francis Cabrini (Granbury, TX), Holy Angels (Clifton, TX), Our Lady of Guadalupe (Morgan, TX), Santa Rosa (Knox City, TX), and St. Joseph (Rhineland, TX).
