By Pat Henz, State Program Director

Vol. 4, 2016-2017

Charcheck

The Religious Appreciation Dinner that the Fort Worth Diocese holds every year had to be cancelled due to Covid19, but that didn’t stop the Knights from the Fort Worth Diocese from showing their appreciation.Cards were sent to all the seminarians with a note of support and a little cash to help them as they start back to school. Brother Knights were encouraged to show their appreciation to their clergy by assisting them in evangelizing the youth, families, and especially men who are inactive or fallen away from the sacraments. The mission of every council should be at the heart and service of every parish. The Knights presented a check for $4000 to Fr. Jonathan Wallis, the Vocations Director of the Diocese. This was money raised through “Pennies for Seminarians” which can be used for any emergencies that come up with the seminarians. Finally, the big check from the State Charities was presented to Bishop Michael Olson. The State Charity Goal for Fort Worth was $92,050.00.With the help from Wichita Falls Council 1473, who raised $146,000, the total raised for Fort Worth was $211,830.This money supports Vocations and the Deaf Ministry.Congratulations to all the Knights of the Fort Worth Diocese.
