Brother Knights and lovely Ladies,

On behalf of the Texas State Council, Rosa and I invite you and your family to join us for Texas’ 117th State Convention to be held April 30-May 2, 2021 at the Hilton of the Americas Hotel in Houston, Texas. The Galveston-Houston convention committee has been working very hard to make this a memorable event for all Knights and their families.

We know you have faced some challenging times. But, every challenge brings a new opportunity. The Knights, as usual, have faced and overcome some of these challenges. We will always strive to “Leave No Neighbor Behind”.

Make plans to attend this convention as there will be some changes to the format of the convention which we think you will enjoy and benefit from. So, what will go on during the convention you might ask?

As usual on Friday morning, there will be a golf tourney for all golfers. On Friday, we will also have our Clergy for a seminar and luncheon. We ask that you invite your Parish Priest and/or Chaplain to the convention and especially to this seminar.

On Friday and Saturday afternoon, there will be several informative seminars with an abundance of information to help you and your council achieve your goals and finish the year strong. We are also planning an awards ceremony on Friday afternoon to recognize all the accomplishments from around the state.

The Galveston Houston Convention Committee has a great social event planned for Friday evening which will include live music. During and after this event, there will be hospitality rooms open to offer fraternal cheer and for meeting old and new friends.

On Saturday and Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. we will celebrate Mass with our Bishops. Also, on Saturday morning, we will have the annual State Deputy’s Report followed by our Opening Business session while the ladies enjoy a special luncheon event. The evening will conclude with a wonderful State Banquet.

On Sunday morning the ladies will meet for a notable breakfast while the men wrap up the State Council’s business. During the final session, be present to see a special presentation for next year’s convention in Corpus Christi. After the final session, the elected delegates and other interested persons will receive details on the Supreme Convention in Denver in August.

As we gather in Houston, we will have much to celebrate. We look forward to sharing this time with you and your families. We hope this year has been rewarding for each of you as we seek to support each other, our parishes and our communities. BE NOT AFRAID for Our Lord, Jesus Christ is always with us.

Vivat Jesus and God Bless

Alfredo and Rosa Vela
