Our Council 10930 was asked by our pastor and Chaplain to provide a Friday Lenten Fish Fry to support the Stations of the Cross and the members of the parish. Our Council conducted five Friday evening Fish Frys during Lent. Over 600 meals were served during this event. The meals consisted of 3 to 4 pieces of fish, French fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce. Due to COVID this was a drive thru and carry out event. All COVID precautions were followed. The event was done under our new pavilion and the weather was great. Over 1850 volunteer hours were provided by the Knights and their wives. Everyone had a wonderful time preparing the food and serving and greeting the parishioners. The funds raised from the Fish Frys enabled the Council to make a generous donation to the St. Thomas the Apostle Church Building Fund and also to provide a $500 scholarship to the Third Order Regular of St. Francis, St. Thomas Province for the seminarians in India in memory of our former Pastor and Chaplain Fr. Mathew Kavipurayidam,TOR.
