After several months of planning and construction the covered pavilion at St. Thomas the Apostle Church was ready for dedication on October 24, 2020.Since St. Thomas the Apostle Church does not currently have an indoor kitchen, this pavilion will provide a covered facility for outdoor preparation of food and other activities. This pavilion was provided to St. Thomas the Apostle Church through individual donations of funds and labor by members of Council 10930. As part of the dedication the Council provided free hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks on a drive through basis.Several hundred people were served in this manner.
This dedication was special in that the pavilion was provided by Council 10930 in memory of our former pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle, Fr. Mathew Kavipurayidam, TOR and dedicated to Dominic Short 2020.
This is one of many ways that Council 10930 continues to support the priest and parish of St. Thomas the Apostle. This pavilion will be used by many of the various ministries at St. Thomas the Apostle.
