Streetside Showers

Guided by the principles of unity, charity and fraternity - St. Gabriel the Archangel Council 12153 of McKinney, TX in collaboration with the Columbiettes provided meals for the street people and homeless people last July 10, 2021.

Known as "Streetside Showers" the charitable program aimed at sharing love and joy to those in need.

The Knights and the Columbiettes were able to feed the hungry and less-fortunate. Moreover, they were able to supply some basic needs like clothes and toiletries and provided hygiene services through hot showers bringing a splash of hope and dignity to the homeless.

To be able to make a difference in the lives of others is truly a humbling experience. Yet somehow community service is all in. a day's work for these Knights who are known for their compassion, commitment and dedication to make our world a better place to live in.

And for a job well done, the said council were awarded the Community Service Award in the recently concluded KofC Texas State Conference.
