"Fr.
Gerry Sheehan, Pastor at St. Anthony of Padua Parish advised our
council's Church and Community Director Alfredo T. CastaƱeda, that the
church and parish hall needed some light bulbs to be replaced and the
ceiling fans in the church needed cleaning.
This
message was discussed at our council meeting. The council agreed to
proceed with the project and gave permission to rent the proper
equipment, lights and other items needed. GK Rene V. Gonzalez is to
bring the equipment on the next weekend. When the equipment was brought
in, the crew of four knights was able to bring the equipment inside the
church. Plywood was placed over the steps so as to roll the big rig up
the steps and into the church. The burn out lights were replaced, the
ceiling fans and all light fixtures were cleaned. Immediately they
rolled the equipment out of the church and rolled it to the Parish Hall.
All the burned out lights were replaced and cleaned including the
windows that needed cleaning and removing all the cobwebs. Fr. Gerry was
so pleased that a special thanks was given during the Mass on Sunday to
the Brother Knights that worked on this project.
Our
appreciation to Director Alfredo T. CastaƱeda, GK Rene V. Gonzalez,
Sacristan, Brother Nick (SOLT) and Polo Paredez, Jr. Fr. Gerry
supervised the project."
