Council 7445 – Sacred Heart Church, Richmond TX

Sacred Heart Council 7445, Richmond TX collected parish donations on the 1^st Sunday of Dec 2021 to support our military. This was the 5^th consecutive year for this project. The collection coincided with the resumption of our monthly KC barbecue sales after each of 4 weekend Masses. Our barbecue sales had been on hold due to the pandemic since early 2020. So this was a chance to renew parish support by having 5 Knights at the doors of the church to solicit contributions. We also had a bulletin insert during the months of October through December that asked parishioners to alternatively bring their donation to the parish office. $6,550 was collected from our awesome parish family and split among Trees for Troops (Christmas trees for troop families), Wreaths Across Americas (wreaths on veterans’ graves) and Frontline Faith (mp3 players for deployed troops).
