Golden Anniversary Year

On 16 January 2022, Council 6358 (Good Shepherd, Schertz) kicked off its Golden Anniversary year as a Council and its 2022 Novena for Life with a very special LIFE-themed movie and prayer event featuring brother Knight Jason Scott Jones. Mr. Jones is a full-time human rights advocate, film producer, and major voice in the movement to support life in all its forms. He is routinely featured on EWTN and other media outlets, and he has a new documentary called Divided Hearts in America running 24/7 on FOX Nation .Mr. Jones presented 2 of his short films (Crescendo and Sing a Little Louder), and he explained the inspirations behind them and the impacts they’ve made. He further explained the crisis of life around the world for the unborn, for the homeless, for refugees, for those facing genocide, for those persecuted for their faith, and others. Mr. Jones then discussed his organizations’ successful efforts to rescue Christians and others left in jeopardy in Afghanistan following the chaotic withdrawal of American forces in August 2021, and his work on behalf of those persecuted for their faith such as the Christians in Iraq, the Uyghurs in China, and the Yazidis (Kurdish regions).Mr. Jones is President and Founder of Movie to Movement, The Vulnerable People Project, and Human Rights Education Organization (H.E.R.O.) whose mission is to promote the incomparable dignity and beauty of the human person. Council 6358 donated $1,000 to H.E.R.O. to help Christian refugees suffering the winter in Afghanistan.
