Groves Council #3491 Big Part in Giving Church New Life

After years of storms in SE Texas took its toll on Immaculate Conception-St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Groves, Groves Council #3491 and Santa Maria Assembly #1100 were on hand as Bishop David Toups and parishioners re-dedicated their Church ahead of the Christmas Holiday.

Over the course of the last several months, members of the Council dedicated time, talent, treasure and of course prayer to re-furbish a storm weary building. That Sunday was the first time Mass had been celebrated in the Church since the restoration began.
An Honor Guard from Santa Maria Assembly #1100 helped mark the special event in the beautiful new church as a new alter was dedicated and anointed.
Following Mass, there was a reception held in which Groves council #3491 presented Bishop Toups with a Cardinal Medeiros Fellowship, his Honorary Life Membership Card and a Knights of Columbus stole.
