The 2021-2022 Fraternal Year has been great thus far regarding the First and Foremost Principle of our Order – Charity.By the end of the 2021 calendar year, we realized 71.54% of the established State Charity Goal.More than $698,054 has been contributed by the Councils of this great State against our Goal of $975,745.The State Council Charities Team cannot thank all involved enough for their efforts in keeping Blessed Father Michael J. McGivney’s vision alive and well.

We had 412 Councils contribute 100% or more towards their assigned Charity Goals. We had 56 District Deputies reach 100% or more of their District Charity Goals. We had one Diocesan Deputy exceed 100% of their Diocesan Charity Goal. All of this before the end of the 2021 calendar year.

The Archdiocese of Galveston Houston led Division 1 with 73 Councils at 100% or more of their assigned Charity Goals and this Diocese reached 81.01% of their assigned goal. The Diocese of Victoria led Division 2 with 29 Councils at 100% or more of their assigned Charity Goals and this Diocese reached 98.53% of their assigned goal.Division 3 was led by the Diocese of Tyler with 31 Councils at 100% or more of their assigned Charity Goals.Diocesan Deputy Larry Pfeifer led the Diocese of Tyler to being the first in the state to contribute more than 100% of their Diocesan Charity Goal before the end of December 2021, achieving 104.45%.

There is still work to be done, in Charities Sweet Name, before this year is through. At the end of January 2022, Councils contributed more than $705,044, representing 72.26% of the State Goal.To achieve the “85% of Goal Challenge” before the State Council Convention convenes in Corpus Christi, Texas, on April 29, 2022, and see the Major Directors be plunged into the Dunk Tank, we need an additional $124,340 to be contributed. To achieve 100% of the assigned State Charity Goal, before the end of the fraternal year, we need more than $270,701 to be contributed. If we are to set the highest total ever contributed towards State Council Charites, we need more than $313,956 before the end of this fraternal year.We are counting on every Council to do their very best to aid us in achieving all of these.

Your State Council Charities Team is here to aid and assist your Council. Please do not hesitate to reach out to any member of the Team.

VIVAT JESUS!

Regards,

Derek
