A group of St. Laurence youth had a unique and effective plan for the annual Sugarland Knight Go Make a Difference project. Student who volunteer are given $50 to make a positive influence in our community. The group consisting of Sarah St. John, Jamie Reyes, Luke Vandermeer and Andres Sananez decided to pool their money. They wanted to help the homeless. The group contacted local leader and ask them what homeless people need most. Armed with a list of items what had been suggested students went shopping. They b ought underwear, socks, female products and antiseptic wipes. With adult supervision they delivered the materials to two homeless shelters and some items given directly to people in need. The St. Laurence Knights would like to thank Michael Cleary our H.S. Youth Minister and all the students who were the participants of this year's activity.
