East Texas Right to Life President - Susan Wells presents Tyler Diocesan Deputy – Larry Pfeifer with the Pro-Life Organization of the Year Award for all the Knights of the Tyler Diocese.

March 26, 2022, Saturday night in East Texas was a great evening for the East Texas Right to Life. East Texas Right to Life covers all of the Tyler Diocese (33 Counties).East Texas Right to Life Celebrated several activities and recognized Texas State Senator Bryan Hughes as the Pro-Life Person of the year for his co-sponsorship of the Texas Heartbeat Bill. Also recognized as the Pro-Life Organization of the year was the Knights of Columbus of the Tyler Diocese. Several Knights were in attendance including Sir Knight Most Reverend Bishop Strickland, Bishop of the Diocese of Tyler, Texas, the Texas State Deputy – Sir Knight Alfredo Vela, Immediate Past Texas State Deputy – Sir Knight Mark Evans. The 31 Councils of the Knights of Columbus of the Tyler Diocese were recognized for all the Pro-Life Activities the Knights have conducted. The Knights of the Tyler Diocese have sponsored (5) ultra sound machines, help several Pregnancy Resource Centers, work Food Pantries, provide Soup Kitchens, Volunteer at the VA Hospital in the Dallas, Texas area, & even purchased a container of Wheelchairs from the American Wheelchair Mission in which every Council received wheelchairs to use in each of their respected communities. The President of the East Texas Right to Life – Susan Wells, said “…If there is ever a need in our parishes & communities, all I have to do is contact a Knight and they will get it done.” There are over 2700 Knights in the Diocese of Tyler.
