Vol. 2, 2024 - 2025
Please let me know what your Councils and Dioceses are doing to support the American Wheelchair Mission so they can be included in future updates.
Alphabetically listed below by Parish, are the Wheelchair Sundays that were held in either February or March, with an asterisk indicating it was their first Wheelchair Sunday:
Key: Parish, Council Number, City, Amount Raised, Beneficiary, Coordinator,
As of April 27th, 156 Councils and 8 Assemblies have raised $630,484 for 4,203 wheelchairs. Thank you so much Texas Knights for helping to raise these funds. This is the most Wheelchair Mission funds ever raised by a jurisdiction as it far exceeds the $476K raised by California in 2015-2016. There is still time for your Council to make a difference by donating. The goal is for each Council to donate at least $150 for one wheelchair.
Please mail checks and donation forms to Dan Moberg, American Wheelchair Mission, 560 W. Main St. #C804, Alhambra, CA, 91801. Be sure your Council Number and Diocese are on your check so that your donation will be properly credited. Please go to www.amwheelchair.org/donate to donate online and select “Knights of Columbus” in the Campaign field and enter your Council Number in the Organization field.
Please contact me a yankeesweb@tx.rr.com or 214-405-8023 if you have any questions about the Wheelchair Program, need any help conducting a Wheelchair Sunday or need any wheelchairs. I will be glad to talk to your Pastor or Council about the program and address any questions or concerns they might have.
