Lewisville Council Awards Five $800 Scholarships

St. Philip the Apostle Council 9884, Pope Paul VI Assembly, and the Lady Knights auxiliary awarded five $800 scholarships to graduating Catholic high school seniors this past spring. Philip Coyle, Katie Eddington, Berenise Perez-Lopez, Arianny Putera, and Nicole Whitacre were awarded scholarships and honored with their families at the Council's Founder's Day dinner on April 23. Students were judged on their school and church participation, as well as an essay on the topic, "The Need to Serve." This spring marked the 32nd year that Council 9884 has awarded scholarships to worthy Catholic students.
