35th Annual KofC Bishop Tom J. Flanagan Retreat

The 35^th Annual KofC Bishop Tom Flanagan Retreat was held October 21-23, 2022, at Tecaboca in Mountain Home, TX, and yours truly was the Director. Fifty-nine men attended, including one from outside the Archdiocese of San Antonio who attends every year. The entire team from the speakers to the chefs to the music ministry, all collaborated effectively with great zeal. The theme of the retreat was taken from Sunday’s 2^nd reading, Paul’s letter to Timothy 4:7, “I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith.” Retired San Angelo Bishop Michael Pfeiffer celebrated the Saturday morning Mass, and Archdiocese of San Antonio Auxiliary Bishop/Chapter Chaplain/Vocations Director Gary Janak celebrated the closing Mass. If Bishop Flanagan were still alive, he would have been 92 years of age. Next year’s retreat is scheduled for October 27-29, 2023.
