Mater Filius

The Shaun P. O’Brien Council 11716 – Plano, TX (Diocese of Dallas) launched the Aid and Support After Pregnancy “ASAP” program at Prince of Peace Catholic Community August 21, 2022, shortly after Roe v. Wade was overturned. The event benefited “Mater Filius”, one of four Catholic pregnancy residences in the Dallas area providing spiritual support and essential services to serve both mother and child through the pregnancy and after. Through the generosity of the Prince of Peace parishioners the ASAP project raised $10,775. Marthalicia Burkle – Mater Filius, General Director received the check presented by (L-R) DGK - Marty Driscoll (C) Life Director-James Widman and GK - Robert Edsall. Knights Supreme will add another $400 of matching funds to the donation.
