Shield a Badge

Shield

Support for our Law Enforcement and First Responders continues to be so important. This also includes our Border Patrol Agents .I have met and worked with several of them over the years and can attest that they are dedicated officers who show compassion and respect with every person they come in contact with. They are being over worked with limited resources and are being unjustly attacked. We never hear about their heroic actions and the good things they do, but those things are happening. They are under so much pressure and stress, and they too need our prayers. We have several Knights who are Border Patrol Officers, and some councils are including them in their Shield a Badge program. Please, keep all of them in your prayers too.

As winter creeps in and the holidays approach, emotions and stress will affect so many people. I ask that you continue to pray for your local officers. You can do this by starting a Shield a Badge program at your council. The Shield a Badge program is designed to show local Law Enforcement Officers support through daily prayer. A prayer sponsor adopts an officer and prays every day for that Officer’s Safety, Good Judgment, and a Safe Return Home.

I am so proud that the Knights have embraced this program and are showing their support to all the police officers across this great State. There have been well over 100 councils across Texas who has started a Shield a Badge program in their community.

Consider starting a Shield a Badge program at your council. For more information, please contact Pat Henz at pghenz@yahoo.com
