Trick or Trunk

In the spirit of Charity, Unity and Fraternity, Fr. Emil Gerlich Council 10930 in Fort Worth held its Fourth Annual Trunk or Treat on October 22, 2022.All families and members of the St. Thomas the Apostle Church and all the surrounding community were invited to attend the free event. As a result over 700 children attended and with parents over 1200 persons enjoyed the event. There were 22 Knights, spouses, and other volunteers who served over 600 hot dogs, chips and drinks, directed traffic and supervised the event. Over 15,000 pieces of candy was donated. Our Priest Father Ben and the deacons attended and all enjoyed the event. The event was promoted through the parish bulletin, Council and Parish Facebook, flocknotes, and emails.Families were encouraged to decorated their vehicles with Halloween themes and register their spot at the Trunk or Treat.There were 47 vehicles participating in the event. The participating vehicles had games and candy for the children. 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place trophies were presented to the best decorated vehicles. This was a difficult decision by the judges as all were winners.

3^rd place – Deadly Graveyard (Ziebert Family)

Everyone had a great time!We look forward to next year for a large and equally successful Trunk or Treat!
